My historical novel, Aliyah – A Jewish Family Saga is set on Manhattan’s Lower East Side in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. Two of my characters are walking to work at the Fulton Fish Market in 1883. I want to describe this setting to my readers. Here’s the prompt I entered into ChatGPT.
Lazar and Mikhail are walking down Fulton Street in Manhattan, heading to the Fulton Fish Market in April 1883. Describe the sights, sounds, and smells they encounter as they approach the market. Write the section in past tense. Use third person close point of view.
